Interdisciplinary activities NTC UWB, in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health, are launching a study Acceptability of New Technologies for Human Cognitive Enhancement. The goal of the study is to find out how society perceives the potential of new technologies such as smartphones, autonomous vehicles, wearables or smartdrugs.

Research on acceptability of wearable technologies in everyday life

HCE survey jokeOne of the main outputs that the project Naturalness in Human Cognitive enhancement is to deliver, are scientific studies on general attitudes towards new technologies and acceptability of wearable technologies in everyday life in Czech Republic and English speaking countries.  In addition, we focus also on relations between the way people assess new technologies, their personality traits and ethical values.

Smart Glasses Demonstration in Nečtiny

SmartglassesIn the mid-January, HCENAT project was presented at the annual Interdisciplinary seminar Ways of Adaptability organised by IDA UWB, held in Nečtiny.  Seminar attendees had a unique opportunity to try out two different types of Smart Glasses (Vuzix M100 and Meta 1) which are explored within the project as means for human cognitive enhancement.
